Detroit Restaurant Week enters its final four days on Thursday, with 24 restaurants in the city and its suburbs serving fixed-price menus at $36, $56 or $76 through Sunday, Nov. 8, according to organizers.
For diners, the appeal is a set price for a multicourse meal at places that can otherwise be hard to budget for, from Besa and Ostrea downtown to Hyde Park Prime Steak House in Birmingham. Tax, tip and drinks are extra. This fall’s lineup also leans suburban: 11 of the 24 participants have a Detroit location, and the rest stretch from Sterling Heights to Canton. Organizers say $1 from every Restaurant Week meal goes to local nonprofits, including COTS Detroit, Pewabic Pottery and the Rugiero Promise Foundation.

The event is produced by Hour Media, the publisher of Hour Detroit, with Hendrick’s Gin and Wild Turkey listed as sponsors on the official Detroit Restaurant Week site. It began on Monday, Nov. 2, as WXYZ reported.
How Detroit Restaurant Week 2026 works
Each restaurant offers a prix fixe menu at one or more of the three price points, usually three courses. Prices exclude tax, gratuity and beverages, the organizers say, and many restaurants require diners to eat in to get the special. Takeout, where offered, may carry a surcharge depending on the restaurant.
A few menus break the pattern, according to the listings on the official site:
- Marrow in Eastern Market offers a four-course chef’s tasting at $76, alongside a three-course $56 menu.
- Le Suprême downtown has a $36 three-course lunch as well as a $76 French dinner.
- M Cantina in Dearborn includes a margarita (or a nonalcoholic version) with its $76 menu, and Roman Village in Dearborn includes a glass of house wine.
- IKE’S Restaurant in Sterling Heights labels its $36 dinner “all-inclusive.”
The organizers also make a direct request of diners: because a $36 menu is likely a $50 meal, they ask guests to “tip at least 20%.”
Participating restaurants, by area
| Area | Restaurants (menu prices) |
|---|---|
| Downtown Detroit | Besa ($76), Cibo Detroit ($56), Hiroki-San ($76), Le Suprême ($36 lunch, $76 dinner), Olin Bar & Kitchen ($56), Ostrea Detroit ($76), Sexy Steak ($76) |
| Elsewhere in Detroit | Fishbones in Greektown ($36), Marrow in Eastern Market ($56, $76), The Whitney in Midtown, Table No. 2 ($76) |
| Birmingham and Berkley | BESOS ($36, $56, $76), Hyde Park Prime Steak House ($56), Rugby Grille ($76), Republica ($56) |
| Dearborn and western suburbs | M Cantina ($76), Roman Village ($36, $56), Benihana ($56), Antonio’s Cucina Italiana and Antonio’s Piccolo Ristorante ($36, $56), Novi Craft House ($56) |
| Northern suburbs | Kona Grill ($36), IKE’S Restaurant ($36), Arkins Sweet BBQ Pit ($36, $56) |
Some participants have limits worth knowing before you go. Besa is closed on Sundays, and Table No. 2 is closed Mondays and Tuesdays, according to their listings. Hyde Park and Kona Grill serve their Restaurant Week menus at dinner only, and Benihana and M Cantina are dine-in only. The Whitney’s menu details were not posted in a form we could review, so check the app before booking.
The app and $1,000 in prizes
This year’s edition runs through a free Detroit Restaurant Week app for iPhone and Android. Diners check in at each restaurant to earn points. According to the official site, checking in at four participating restaurants enters a diner in a drawing for a $500 gift card prize pack, and the person with the most points at the end of the week wins another $500 in gift cards. (A WDIV report put the threshold at five restaurants; the official site says four.) The organizers have not posted a drawing date, so check the rules in the app.
What to know for the final weekend
- Expect waits. Organizers warn that restaurants may have waits and could run out of Restaurant Week dishes late in a shift. Their advice: come back the next day, earlier.
- Call ahead. The official site does not list a central reservation system, so a call to the restaurant is the surest way to confirm a table and the menu.
- Budget beyond the menu price. On a $56 menu for two, Michigan’s 6 percent sales tax and a 20 percent tip add roughly $29 before any drinks.
- Watch the calendar. Sunday, Nov. 8, is the last day, and it is also a busy one downtown, with a Pistons home game against the Lakers at 6 p.m. at Little Caesars Arena.
Plan your Restaurant Week dinner in 4 steps
- Pick a restaurant and price tier from the table above, then read its full menu on the official site.
- Call the restaurant to confirm its hours, whether it is open that day and whether it takes reservations.
- Download the Detroit Restaurant Week app before you go if you want to check in for the prize drawings.
- Go early in the evening, budget for tax, a 20 percent tip and drinks, and plan a backup in case a dish sells out.
Pair dinner with a museum or a market
The Whitney, at 4421 Woodward Ave. in Midtown, is less than a mile south of the Detroit Institute of Arts, which stays open until 9 p.m. on Fridays. Our guide to the best museums in Detroit covers the DIA and its Cultural Center neighbors, as well as Pewabic Pottery, one of this year’s charity partners.
On Sunday, a late lunch or early dinner at Marrow fits neatly around All Things Detroit Holiday, the 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. holiday market in Eastern Market’s sheds. For the rest of the weekend’s concerts, shows and games, see our things to do in Detroit this weekend roundup.
