All Things Detroit Holiday 2026: Nov. 8 at Eastern Market

About 200 Detroit small businesses will fill three sheds at Eastern Market on Sunday, Nov. 8, for the All Things Detroit Holiday Shopping Experience & Food Truck Rally, a one-day market built around buying local ahead of the holidays. The event runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET in Sheds 3, 4 and 5, according to the Eastern Market event listing.

For Detroiters who want to keep holiday money in the city, the timing matters. The market lands nearly three weeks before Black Friday and Small Business Saturday, and it puts local artists, makers and vendors under one roof, with food trucks, DJs and photos with Santa, for a $7 ticket at the door. Eastern Market said the spring edition, All Things Detroit Day in April, drew more than 15,000 shoppers.

All Things Detroit was founded by Jennyfer Crawford, who is listed as the event’s founder on its official site. Visit Detroit has described it as a shop-local day she started more than a decade ago. According to the official site, the event is held twice a year at Eastern Market: the Sunday before Easter and again in November.

Tickets: $7 at the door or $15 for early entry

There are two ways in, and the choice mostly comes down to how much you dislike crowds.

  • General admission, $7. Sold at the door only. Doors open to the general public at noon.
  • “Beat the Crowd” VIP, $15. Sold online only through the event’s ticketing page. Entry begins at 10 a.m., which gives VIP holders two hours of shopping before the public arrives. The ticket also includes an All Things Detroit tote bag and a surprise holiday gift while supplies last.

The ticket page lists a few rules worth knowing before you buy. Everyone on a single VIP ticket must arrive together; there is no will call, and entry is at Shed 3 or Shed 5. Sales are final; the ticketing page says there are no refunds or returns unless the organizer or venue cancels the event.

What to expect inside the sheds

Eastern Market’s listing describes the lineup as about 200 small businesses selling work by local artists, handmade gifts, craft goods, and one-of-a-kind pieces. Food trucks will be on site, Detroit DJs will play in every shed, and Santa will be available for photos. The organizers have not published a vendor list or the names of the food trucks for this year’s event.

Getting there and parking

The market is at 2934 Russell St., in the Eastern Market district just northeast of downtown, on Russell Street between Mack and Gratiot avenues, according to Visit Detroit. Look for the entrances at Shed 3 or Shed 5.

Neither the organizers nor Eastern Market had posted parking or transit details for the Nov. 8 event as of Nov. 1. Check Eastern Market’s website before you leave for current parking information.

Make a weekend of it

The All Things Detroit market is one of several holiday-season draws at Eastern Market this month. The year-round Saturday Market runs from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 7, the day before. Eastern Market also lists a Holiday Market for Thanksgiving food shopping on Tuesday, Nov. 24, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and another Holiday Market on Sunday, Nov. 29, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Visitors making a full day of it can pair the market with a stop in Midtown; our guide to the best museums in Detroit covers the Detroit Institute of Arts, the Wright Museum, and others a short drive away. Before you go: a quick checklist

  1. Decide on your ticket. If you want the 10 a.m. early entry, buy the $15 VIP ticket online in advance; it is not sold at the door.
  2. If you are going with friends on one VIP ticket, plan to arrive together, since there is no will call.
  3. For general admission, bring $7 per person and aim for the noon opening.
  4. Check Eastern Market’s events page on the morning of Nov. 8 for any parking or schedule updates, then head to the Shed 3 or Shed 5 entrance.

What we don’t know yet

Organizers had not announced a vendor list, food truck lineup, sponsor, parking plan, or policies on pets and strollers as of Nov. 1. Vendor counts also vary: Eastern Market’s listing says about 200 small businesses, while the organizer’s site advertises “250+ vendors” without naming a year, so treat the number as approximate. We will update this article if organizers release more details before Nov. 8.
